IT Infrastructure Project Manager

MISSION:

To support the Infrastructure Team, we are actively looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager.

Based Brussels, you will support the whole organization for delivering the various projects of Univercells being executed internally and/or externally.

You will work with the Project Leads and other team members, and you support them to achieve project successful delivery.

As a project manager, you will have a challenging position as you will oversee the team functionality and increases team efficiency.

You will act as a champion for Project Management methodologies (Lean), techniques (Prince2), processes (Stages Gates), tools & ways of working, educating colleagues in these areas and sharing best practice across the organization (both for traditional Waterfall projects and for Agile projects).

The main scope of the role is to engage and align all Univercells people in order to converge their efforts and contribution towards timely and reliable projectsā€™ delivery.

MANDATORY:

  • Very familiar with IT infrastructure technologies and architecture (virtualization, storage, backup, Networking, Datacenter, Active Directory, ā€¦)
  • Strong basis in Infrastructure security concept
  • Manage RFP (define new designs or selection new product/hardwareā€™s)
  • Agree to 20% of travel to start local and international projects.

 

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

Project Strategies Design

  • Using Critical Thinking you will design optimal project strategies and scenarios by identifying, developing and employing the right methods and frameworks based on clear goals, benefits, and business cases.
  • You will inform timely the stakeholders, you will facilitate quality decision-making and will avoid misunderstanding through ongoing strategic alignment and scenario planning.

Project Planning, Scheduling and Resourcing

  • You will act as a single point of contact for overall project budget & planning information.
  • You will partner with the Finance department to ensure that the team is reviewing the budgets, implementing changes and tracking variances.
  • You will manage project activities, budget, resource allocation, critical path, milestones and schedules as required.
  • You will closely watch the project schedule, monitoring deadlines for each project task. You will regularly check that every deadline is still possible and report any potential delays to the Project Lead

Process monitoring: execution and performance

  • You will carry out projects to support facility extensions as well as maturing the Group IT Infrastructure by introducing new technologies, best practices and methods.
  • You will arrange regular meetings with the members of the project in order to monitor the project execution.
  • You will organize, write and/or track preparation of supporting documents & evidence according to the processes for execution.
  • You will maintain and archive crucial project documents which track change progress and approval, and you will ensureĀ that all documents are accurate and have been reviewed and approved by the Project Lead and Team Members.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates issues and risks that could impact the progression of the project while exploring and maximizing opportunities during all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • You will set and monitor project quality and performance including KPIs, feedback-based project reviews and identifies opportunities for improvement

Project Communication

  • You will manageĀ the project communication plan to identify the key messages, audiences, interfaces, timings and mechanisms for effective & transparent communication at all levels internal and external.
  • You will monitor and summarize progress of the project and you will prepare reports for upper management
  • You will collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders and teams to establish a safe, collaborative environment for effective project communication

Project Management Center of Expertise- Training

  • You will drive the best in industry practices, and you will train colleagues on Project Management Best practices and processes as needed.
  • You will Deliver projects according to the Product Lifecycle Change Control (PLC3) process.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

We are looking for an analytical thinker with solid organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills. The successful Project Manager can multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment and is a team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals.
In addition to these general skills and personality traits, the ideal candidate possesses:

  • Master degree and at least 7 years of experience in a Global Project Management Role, or related function, possibly but not exclusively within the PharmaĀ Industry.
  • Experience of working with global, multi-cultural, diverse, cross-functional teamsĀ (including Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing and Access), with demanding timelines and complex deliverables, focused on the research, development and commercialization of a product
  • Project Management Certification or Qualification is a real asset (PMP, Prince 2, Agile ā€¦)
  • Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and project scheduling computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, troubleshoot, and meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of critical and creative thinking.
  • Ability to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
  • Supportive, customer minded and used to lead by example.
  • Fluent English. French is an asset
